Who we are
Over 1.3 million Americans have been shot and over 500,000 Americans have been killed by guns since 20 children and six educators were killed by a 20-year-old gunman with an AR-15 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012.
We are a coalition of gun violence survivors, gun violence prevention organizations and allies working together to fight for our right to live free from gun violence, support gun violence survivors in our communities, and shine a light on the devastating impact of gun violence in our nation.
Why should
you care
Read our presentation on how gun violence impacts every aspect of our lives!
We encourage those who have endorsed, partnered, hosted, and supported the national mobilization days such as #HandsOff, #MayDay, #NoKings, and #GoodTrouble to stand in solidarity with the gun violence prevention movement to prioritize ending the gun violence crisis in our nation by joining the #FreedomToLive nationwide vigils (of any size) and events (any kind) in December when gun violence survivors sit at their tables with empty seats during the holidays.
